Staff Application

Thank you for your interest in applying to serve as a staff member or volunteer at Camp St. Thekla!

Before you can begin your application, you must first submit a Statement of Faith. At CST our staff and volunteers have the responsibility of modeling the Orthodox Christian life for our campers, so it is important that we establish first what that life looks like.

Please read the following and sign below:

Statement of Faith

  • I recognize that being on staff at CST is a privilege and a great responsibility. I know that my actions, both at camp and elsewhere, have the potential to affect the lives of others. I want to be an authentic witness for Christ and His Church to others.

  • I live a life that is enthusiastically faithful to the traditions and teachings of the Orthodox Church. For this reason, I do not participate in practices or lifestyles that are contrary to Orthodox teachings. If I do fall short of these teachings and I sin, I repent and seek reconciliation with the Church.

  • Because I recognize that my public behavior and choices reflect on my commitment to Christ and His Church, I support the traditions and teachings of the Orthodox Church in a visible and evident way—I want people to be able to recognize that I’m an Orthodox Christian by my actions.

  • I am an active member in good standing of a local parish under the omophorion of a canonical bishop of the Orthodox Church. It is my commitment to attend divine services weekly or more often, to regularly participate in the sacramental life of the Church, and to support my parish through service and giving.

  • I understand that CST is relying on my statements above in determining whether to select me as a staff member. Consequently, any untrue statement from me could result in me being removed from my position.
